People with something to sell or say spend a lot of time figuring out ways to identify and reach new audiences. There are all kinds of platforms to use to get your thoughts out, and all kinds of experts and advice too.


But what if you don’t have anything to say? Is there an app for this?


A serious shift …


Instead of spending more time making more noise or reaching more people, you would be wise to dig in and do the hard work of figuring out the purpose of your work – the change you want to make. I’m spending the summer doing exactly this; you might have noticed I’ve gone a little quiet …


If you can’t influence one person who is listening to your idea, all the platforms in the world aren’t going to help you change a group of people, let alone attract a loyal tribe of followers.


Consider these questions …


What do your clients want?

What are you asking them to buy into?

What do we exist to do?

What are the consequences for people who follow us off the cliff?
